2. Aim: To help Ss practise using the past simple in context.

– Let Ss do the task individually. Ask them to read the conversation first, so that they understand the context to use the verbs given in the correct form.

– T may call on some Ss separately to read out their answers and correct their answers if they’re wrong. T gives explanation if necessary.

– Then call some pairs to read the conversation with the correct verb forms. Correct their pronunciation and intonation if necessary.
